Not everyone's cup of tea, but a beautiful community focused on sustainability and their residents. For those looking for a perfect apartment, look elsewhere...if you find such a place please share cause the entire world needs to know that a utopic community exists. Its unique and beautiful with a super friendly staff that tackles problems when they are brought to their attention. No one or place is perfect but South front is certainly a great community!

I was rented an apt and signed a lease without being given an all through. After starting to move in my belongings, I noticed a strong odor of cat urine from the bedroom closet. I notified management who set up an appointment to look at the apt with her and the Maintenence supervisor At that time, the odor wasn’t present. They must have somehow cleaned it with a pet odor cleaner. What bothered me was the leasing manager playing dumb and saying “ I can’t smell anything since Covid”. That was very insulting to me After refusing to rent this apt., I moved my belongings to another There was no offer of help with moving my personal belongings from management. There are 4 maintenance personnel on property. They have hand carts and it would have taken them 15 -30 minutes to help me. The entire experience was an insult and I should have refused to stay and live here. Especially since I felt a bit of a “cold shoulder” from staff After I reported the cat urine smell I also read a review concerning mold. I spoke to a resident the other evening who also brought up the mold issue, saying there are reports of mold in some units. It’s a very old set of buildings They forgot to change my apt number in the system so I got a threatening email saying I hadn’t paid my rent and I had a late fee incurred. That was upsetting and I had to go to the office to straighten it out The complex is “ gated”, after hours only. All day people come and go in and out of the complex About 2 weeks ago there was a shooting 2-3 blocks away. I do not feel safe here There is a fox that comes on property because there is an opening in the perimeter of the property As a pet owner, it’s not safe Parking is very tight and maneuvering your car in and out of this tight parking setup gets old very quickly. Lounge seating at the pool is limited. I requested more pool loungers be purchased as there is room on the pool deck. I was told to bring my own lawn chair The one electronic gate to the entrance does not work consistently and I brought this to management’s attention 5 months ago. It still does not work and we now have a road construction project outside the other entrance. When I brought up my concern that this gate wasn’t working, the response one “ you are the only one that has complained”. That’s called gaslighting and not a professional way to run an apt complex when a resident has a concern about a major part of the property not working properly such as a retrace gate. It was insulting Several residents I have spoken too agreed that their car sticker doesn’t work either, they have just given up using that entrance. The maintenance manager himself told me yesterday his sticker doesn’t work and he also uses the other gate I don’t appreciate being gas lit and lied to Stay away from renting here- the leasing staff is more interested in renting apartments, than solving resident concerns in a professional manner and providing a safe space for all residents The apartments are very small, you will feel very claustrophobic quickly between your small apt., the small parking area allotted to residents and the lack of pool loungers on busy weekends

Officially picked up keys for our new place and we are so excited to move in! Max, Alyssa, Jalen and Lacey in the office are so helpful and kind. We love the walkability and all of the businesses nearby too!

South Front has been my home for almost 6 years now. It's a great community especially because of the wonderful maintenance team. Most recently had Andrew come in to deep clean my HVAC mini-split units and he did a great job. The team are always respectful of my space and friendly while they work.
