Phillip was super communicative about when he could come so that I could arrange for my dog to be put away. Had the problem fixed in about an hour and he was nothing but pleasant! The service team here is great :)

Andrew replaced my lightbulb at the front door a while back but I forgot to leave a review then so doing it now. It may seem like a simple request but I work a lot and I work nights so it’s hard to have maintenance stuff done at times but I explained the situation and asked if it could be done without me having to be present or woken up and it was fixed almost immediately no issues. Great job!

Philip did a fantastic job fixing our sink. Very appreciative of his hard work!

Pros: walkability, south front shops and restaurants, gym, pool, dog park, coffee machine in the office, nice neighbors, maintenance is fast and helpful, cute aesthetic in the apartments (not your typical boring apartment look). Cons: promotions for move-in aren’t flexible across layouts which is odd and front staff offered no help with that, AC/heat units are finicky and hard to keep at a good temp, packages get thrown in the front office to sift through, so things could easily be taken by someone else, gates are always broken or open, old buildings = spiders and bugs, small parking spaces, pricey rent compared to other places in Wilmington. UPDATE (Added con) - there's also mold, and what appeared to be black mold on the walls/doors inside. I moved in the Spring so at first you couldn't notice, but in the summer EVERYTHING appeared - mold, musty air, it always felt damp inside. They tried to remediate by bringing in humidifiers (which always read 78-79% which is extremely high in a home), and air purifiers, but it didn't help. It truly felt nasty being in there... I had to get a medical release to be released from my lease. For the cost of the apartment, there should be better renovations to fix these issues. You can find a brand new, nicer, apartment for the same cost in Wilm. My dog also suffered from this with constant skin issues, so just be aware.

Jalen was such a huge help today! Since moving back in the area I’ve had my sights set on moving back to South Front (I lived there back in 2021). I called today to set up a tour and me and my partner absolutely fell in love with the apartment we saw! He was also very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of great options. I can’t wait for things to fall into place because we definitely want to make South Front our new home!

8/1/2026 Still happy at South Front. The whole team is helpful and welcoming. And maintenance is the best. Any time I've had an issue they've been right on it. Previous review: LOVE the team at South Front! I have been a resident since 2020 and they have taken the best care of the homes/residents. The amenities are nice and they are often upgrading things or throwing community events. Walking distance (maybe 20 min) to GLA and there are several small businesses right across the street.

I LOVE South Front. I have been living here for a year. Before I signed my lease for another year, I decided to look around for something with a lower price tag. What I found, is that with the lower price, comes lower quality or bigger problems with things like maintenance or office staff. At SF, maintenance has always shown up the same day or day after, and the office staff are the nicest, sweetest, and my most favoritist people out of all the complexes I visited. I have read some bad reviews for places that on the surface seemed pretty good. South front has the highest rating at 4.5! Also with moving, I would lose access to great amenities like the great room, the theater, the roof top garden and seating area, the saltwater pool (the only 24/7 pool by the way) and the 24/7 gym. I realized that I may pay a few extra bucks (not much), but with it I get an amazing, cozy place to myself, full of charm with the brick walls and concrete ceilings and floors. And if you're lucky enough, you will even get a front patio and small backyard! THANK YOU SOUTH FRONT!

I can't say enough positive things about South Front Apartments. They are courteous, helpful and quick to respond to the needs of the tenants! A+ in my book!!
